Short version: the Service stores the identity details needed for your account and the homework chats you choose to save. Homework content is processed to provide responses. Payment-card details stay with Stripe.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Easy Math Homework websites, account features, homework chat, whiteboard, voice tutor, saved learning history, and subscription tools (collectively, the “Service”). Third-party sites and embedded content have their own privacy practices.

2. Information we collect

Google account information

When you sign in, Google provides a stable account identifier, your verified email address, and your full name. We store those details to identify your account, display your profile, and keep your saved work connected to you. We do not receive your Google password.

Homework and learning content

We process questions, chat messages, subject selections, whiteboard content, homework images, and instructions you submit. Saved chat history currently stores message text, subject, titles, and timestamps. Raw homework image uploads, live microphone audio, and an editable copy of the whiteboard are not intentionally stored in the account database as part of saved chat history, but they are transmitted to service providers as needed to answer the current request.

Code workspace content

Language detection happens in your browser. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript previews also run in an isolated browser frame. When you choose Run for another programming language, the current source code and standard input are sent to an external code-execution service so the program can be compiled and run. That provider may retain source, input, network, and run-log data for operations and abuse prevention. Do not put passwords, API keys, personal information, or confidential code in the workspace.

Account, usage, and subscription information

We store your plan, subscription status, chat-credit use, call-minute use, session timing, and identifiers used to connect your account with Stripe. Stripe collects and processes payment-card and billing details; Easy Math Homework does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

Technical information

We and our hosting, security, and content-delivery providers may process IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, diagnostics, and security events. We store an opaque session-token hash and session timestamps to keep you signed in securely. Theme preference may be stored locally in your browser.

Third-party embeds

Some optional games, tools, media, or linked pages may be delivered by third parties. When you open them, those providers may collect device identifiers, usage data, cookies, or advertising information under their own policies. Avoid opening optional embeds if you do not want to interact with those third parties.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • authenticate you and maintain secure sessions;
  • provide homework explanations, web-assisted results, whiteboard collaboration, and voice calls;
  • save, list, and delete chats for the correct account;
  • measure chat credits and call minutes, apply plan access, and manage subscriptions;
  • prevent abuse, investigate errors, secure the Service, and enforce our terms;
  • maintain and improve reliability and usability; and
  • comply with law and protect users, the Service, and others.

4. How information is shared

We do not intentionally sell your Google account details, saved homework chats, or payment information. We disclose information only as needed in these circumstances:

  • Google: to complete account sign-in and validate the identity information Google returns;
  • AI and web-search service providers: to process prompts, images, whiteboard context, voice interactions, and search requests needed to produce homework help;
  • code-execution providers: to compile and run source code only when you use Run for a language that cannot execute in the browser;
  • Stripe: to create checkout and billing-portal sessions and keep subscription status current;
  • hosting, database, and security providers: to run, store, deliver, monitor, and protect the Service;
  • legal and safety disclosures: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid process, prevent harm or fraud, or protect rights and security; and
  • business changes: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ.

5. Cookies and local storage

The Service uses strictly necessary, secure cookies to protect the Google sign-in flow and maintain your account session. Session cookies are not readable by page scripts. We also use local browser storage for preferences such as light or dark mode. Stripe and optional third-party embeds may set their own cookies when you interact with them.

6. Data retention

Account identity and saved chats are retained while needed to provide the Service or until they are deleted, subject to backups, security needs, disputes, and legal obligations. Authentication-flow records are short-lived, and expired sessions are removed or made unusable. Subscription and transaction records may be retained longer when needed for accounting, fraud prevention, or law.

External code-execution providers may retain source, input, and technical run logs under their own operational and security practices. The Service does not save a separate copy of program source in your account database merely because you ran it.

We aim to keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

  • You can delete individual saved chats from the Service.
  • You can sign out to end the current browser session.
  • You can manage or cancel a paid subscription through the Stripe billing portal in your account.
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting us.
  • You can avoid submitting optional images, microphone audio, or other content.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Users under the age of legal majority should use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s involvement.

9. Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including server-only credentials, secure session cookies, access checks, owner-scoped database queries, and encrypted network transport. No service can guarantee perfect security, so use care when deciding what to submit.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how account information is used, we will provide additional notice when reasonably possible.
